A look back at the biggest Glitches of Madden Mobile 16

Since its' release, Madden Mobile has been a tumultuous ride. Several crucial bugs have wrecked havoc in the 2015 and similarly in the 2016 version. Some of these bugs have influenced the marked greatly and their effects still noticeable several months later, while others have gone under the radar but given an unfair advantage to some. And then there's those that just were a small inconvenience.
Here's a look at the glitches so far this season:

Coin-mageddon (The glitch)

While there's still no official name for this one, it will forever be remembered by those who witnessed it. On 25. September 2015, just a little more than a month into the new season, the Auction House exploded in a span of only a few minutes and similarly, live-events didn't spend any stamina. 

The main problem was that selling any card on the Auction House would eventually double your coins and selling multiple cards would keep doubling your coins until it hit the cap of a few trillon (hereafter the coins would reset to 0). 

Everyone flocked to the auction house to sell their Cards and other to snipe new ones. Even the 86 elites were selling for 25-50 million, as this was a small sum relative to the amount of trillions that people were in possesion of. This went on for a few hours as people speculated about EA's reaction to this. It would take several hours for EA to do anything at all, before shutting down the game for maintenance. In the meanwhile, many players had done everything to keep their earnings by buying all the pro-packs they could possibly do in the span of several hours, while others continued to snipe the abundance of elites on the Auction House. 

The question now was, when would the auction house return and what changes would be made? Unfortunately, people would have to wait two days until the game would return. In that span, EA's customer service would become the most bombarded service in the world.

EA announced that the game would return with a maximum cap of 2 million coins and limiting the amount of unopened pro-packs. But unfortunately, the damage was already done. Some players had lost their entire line-ups in a rush to sell, other had gained an entirely new team of legends in the auction house. When the game was re-instated, people again flocked to the Auction house to snipe or get rid of their benches and people continued to spend and sell millions. The lasting effects could still be seen months later before the Auction house and the prices herein would stabilize. After the shutdown, EA announced that everyone would get a full 1-stamina weekend and 300 madden-cash for the trouble.  

Gronkpoalypse

This was a minor glitch, as Domination Gronkowski could be exchanged for a single bronze trophy.

Masked under sets as the 'Elite Prestige Test' (on 22. September), people were able obtain the player that many had spent a month getting. The bug was patched up a few minutes later as only few players were able to exploit it. Eventually, those few lucky ones got to keep their player. 

Free-packs glitch

Weeks after Coin-maggedon happened, a new glitch appeared as buying Pro-packs was free. As the Road to the Playoffs (RTTP) packs were introduced, several players noticed that buying these packs didn't deduct the 50,000 coins from their bank. Thereafter ensued a race to obtain as many pro-packs as possible before the inevitable maintenance shutdown, which happened only a few hours later. 

After a days shutdown, EA announced that the game would return and all coins/players would be reversed back to their pre-glitch state. No one were able to exploit this glitch, but many players lost an immense amount of time and effort, while others permanently lost their set-master collectible. 

Running up the score

This glitch has yet to be patched, as some players/leagues are able to exploit a hole that allows for stacking of points. Many of the top-leagues in the game have gotten a bad rep for using this glitch to stay undefeated. Hopefully, this is something that EA will have solved for the next season

The Placeholder Player

This minor glitch is part of a programming problem from EA, as players were released onto the marked without the necessary info, causing speculation about the origins or identity of the player. This applied to a variety of types of players throughout december and forward.
