We've been getting this question a lot: Why is MVP Gerald Hodges so rare and expensive?
Well, there's a good reason for that. EA had made an initial 32 cards for the release of the Road To The Playoffs promotion, but didn't realize that Gerald Hodges had been traded mid-season to the 49ers instead. When realizing their mistake, they replaced the set with Eric Kendricks after a day of the release. Many users, having realized this, started paying several millions for the card. Ever since then, there has only been a limited number of cards for trading, but the relative value has been far above the attributes.
