Is Gauntlet coming for Madden Mobile 16?

There has been a lot of speculation about a possible Gauntlet challenge for Madden Mobile 16.
About this time last year, the gauntlet challenge appeared with Richard Sherman (99 CB), Kam Chancellor (99 S) and Byron Maxwell (96 CB) as the prices. The event was an extension to the Domination event, but don't worry. You'll still be able to finish Domination.

The three main questions now is: Will it be here this year? If so, who will be featured and when will it come out? We here at Madden Mobile Maniacs do believe it was a challenge worth bringing back, and we do believe that EA feels the same way. So our guess is that it will come back.

Who can we expect?

Then the question becomes; who will be featured? It's clearly not going to be the Legion of Boom this year as they struggled the whole year and are not featured on the Madden cover.
We predict that the favorite is Marshawn Lynch. It would make sense for EA as he's known for his physical and intimidating playing style and the fact that he might be retiring. However, he did also have a main card in the Most Feared event this season and that would not line up conceptually. Lynch also has a RTTR (Road to the Ring), Signature and OOP (Out of position) cards in addition to his Most Feared and Base cards. Introducing a sixth card may not be the best of ideas currently.
Another strong candidate we predict is Adrian Peterson who currently only has 3 cards. one of which is a Team of the Week (TOTW) card. He ended the year as the rushing champ and is known as being supreme athlete for his size. The downside of having Peterson is the fact that EA has already released too many HB's with 16 over 94 ovr. Seeing as the Domination card already is a offensive player, it might suggest that the Gauntlet player will be a defensive player. Here, a good candidate would be JJ Watt, but he already has 5 cards too. Excluding the 3 players already mentioned, there are not really any obvious candidates, so it could be anyones guess. Heck, EA might even bring in a legend or a aging player in a flashback kind-of format.

When can we expect it?

If EA's going to bring back the event, we can expect it soon. EA does likely want to get the Super Bowl promotion out of the way with a possible grand unveiling on Sunday. After that, it would be very likely that a Gauntlet challenge would appear. It would fit in well between the Super Bowl promo and Position Heroes which is due in a few weeks. The Gauntlet challenge probably will take a few weeks to finish, so it will be an event that will run to the end of the season.
